Artist Statement:
5. Ways I need to improve would be use of lighting. The black and white photo had the intention of the person in the middle having half of his face light while the other half dark. So use of lighting would be something I would like to improve.
8. I believe that this work tells a story. It depicts my life and my struggles. Like the photo of me swimming and the the clones of me in the pool would depict the last 15 years of my life. It shows what has happened to me up until the middle photo. And that one defines my future life of what I will be doing in hopefully 10 years.
11. What I found frustrating about these photos were that for the swimming ones or the ones in the pool, how many times I had to retake the photos because I wasn't on mark with the timer. I had to retake all those photos like10 times before I was satisfied with the photos.
13. After all the frustration of taking and timing the photos, I actually did meet my standards. I am happy about how these photos turned out. It helps depict my life.
21. I don't think I did my work how people did theirs. Since 2/3 of these photos are in a pool setting, it's a bit different to work with and a bit harder since everything has to be done so quickly.
25. The letter grade I would give myself would be an A. I just think that the complexity of the photos and the thoughtfulness is enough to recieve high marks.
35. The way I play with lighting. That way I gave give subjects either playful or mischevious moods with the use of lighting.
36. A more complec shot that includes lighting and possibly underwater photography.
